  • Det Lille Kaffekompaniet
    Bergen's oldest and tiniest coffee bar, tucked into a cozy alley by the Fløibanen funicular since 1996. Cinnamon buns, cakes and world-class coffee. Voted the city's best coffee more than once.
  • Kaffemisjonen
    Bergen's coffee pioneer since 2007. Hand-picked beans from top roasters, great cakes and free tastings every Saturday.
  • BKB (Bergen Kaffebrenneri)
    The neighbourhood favourite on Møhlenpris. Own-roasted coffee, home baking and a laid-back, welcoming vibe since 2009.
  • Landmark
    Bergen Kunsthall's café and hangout. Seasonal lunch, Fuglen coffee and natural wine. Plus concerts and club nights.
  • Hoggorm
    Lysverket's little sister on Nygårdsgaten. New York-style pizza and natural wine in an old garage since 2018.
  • Allmuen
    A daily changing menu of local Vestland ingredients. Named Norway's local-food restaurant of the year in 2023.
  • Legal (Café Legal)
    A retro bar on Christies gate with disco, rock and a crowd ranging from students to creatives.
  • Rommet
    Bar, stage and club in Kjødehallen at USF. The go-to spot for young adults since 2022.
  • Kulturhuset i Bergen
    Four floors of culture on Vaskerelven. Three stages, three bars and everything from concerts to stand-up.
  • VÅG bakeri
    A Japanese-Scandinavian bakery in Damsgård, opened in 2024. Fresh-baked bread and pastries blending flavours from Japan and the Nordics.
  • ÖY kaffe & vintage
    A fresh vintage shop with coffee on the side. Hand-picked clothes from classics to Y2K, local design and one-of-a-kind finds on Kong Oscars gate.
  • Bergen Brunsj
    A popular brunch spot near the train station, with a playful, city-themed menu and options for every diet.
  • Apollon
    Record bar and beer hall in one - a Bergen music institution since 2012. Over 40 beers on tap, vinyl on the walls and live music in a cosy space.
  • Møllendal Fetevare
    The neighbourhood's gathering spot since 2017. Deli, café and pizza - all made with good ingredients on Møllendalsveien.
  • Rævedilter Bar
    A rustic vintage bar packed with history. A free jukebox and a beer selection you won't find anywhere else in town.
  • Oleana x MOO Knit
    A Norwegian knitwear maker since 1992, with a shop right by the fish market. Quality knits in wool, silk and alpaca. All made in their own factory.
  • Fjåk chocolate shop & café
    Norway's first bean-to-bar chocolate maker, with a café on Skostredet. Hot chocolate in unexpected flavours and organic sweets made from Nordic ingredients.
  • Hallaisen
    Homemade ice cream on historic Skostredet, with a rotating line-up of classics and seasonal flavours. Also serves cocktails, lunch and coffee.
  • LOT 333
    A cool lifestyle store on Kong Oscars gate with an international mix of brands. Scandinavian style meets streetwear attitude.
  • Siderbar Bergen
    Norway's first cider bar, on historic Kong Oscars gate. Norwegian craft cider from Hardanger and beyond, with guided tastings every Saturday.
  • Bodega
    A bar and hangout for Bergen's design and architecture crowd. Cocktails, beer and a laid-back vibe on Kong Oscars gate.
  • TempoTempo
    A lively corner restaurant and bar built around creative Norwegian cooking. Fresh fjord seafood, hearty meat dishes and natural wines by candlelight, in red velvet-chair surroundings.
  • NorwegianRain
    The flagship store of Bergen's own rainwear icon. Sculptural waterproof coats, sharp tailoring from T-Michael and mid-century objects, all under one roof in the world's rainiest city.
  • BRGN
    A concept store built for the rainiest city in Norway, with technical fashionwear that actually looks good. The attached bistro serves pastries, sandwiches and lunch right at the train station.
  • Kardemomme i Marken
    One of Bergen's newest bakery, tucked into the Marken neighbourhood near the train station. Fresh buns, bread and cakes, open every day from morning to evening.
  • Bergen Kjøtt
    A creative production house in a former margarine and meat factory in Sandviken, with its own fully licensed bar. Expect album launches, DJ nights, live jazz and Sandviken's smallest record store.
  • Plassen
    A cosy, playful all-day spot by Tårnplassen, and one of the city's most popular weekend brunch spots. Proper coffee, good sandwiches and a relaxed, modern vibe.
  • Falske Reker
    A tiny natural wine bar in Sandviken with its own wine import and a menu built around tinned sardines. Relaxed, unpretentious and big on flavour.
  • Bergen Street Food
    A buzzing food hall on Vektertorget with 13 stalls under one roof. Everything from sushi and tacos to Indian and Greek. Add a stage, big screen and nightclub, and it's dinner and a night out in one.
  • Twisted
    A trendy clothing store on Nygårdsgaten with a selection that stands out. Friendly staff and a range for anyone who wants to look a little different.
